Hidden

The ability to see through bodies is the central theme of this collection—the capacity to analyze the interior without cutting, dissecting, or harming; to see what lies hidden. Transparency grants us the power to scrutinize the body at rest; the absence of color in the models unifies the matter, merging all its parts into a single, cohesive whole.

Natural elements emerge in this second stage, taking possession of the substance; joined in perfect balance, leaves sprout from the arteries, consuming the interior and piercing the anatomy of the models. No longer merely part of the environment, the models now give rise to new life in a different form.

Transparency a concept that eludes full comprehension—presents itself as a mystery that often reveals more about the observer than the observed. The final two pieces of the collection bring the story to a close: the body returns to its normal state, clad in its customary skin, while nature weaves a cocoon around it to facilitate its transformation.

The complex installations and modified anatomical models were constructed and created with the sole purpose of being photographed; the project involved twelve distinct sets built over the course of sixteen months.
